Driver Education Program
The Basic Driver's Ed package offers 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours behind the wheel instruction. Classroom topics include basic driving techniques, defensive driving, rules of the road, adverse effects of alcohol, and driving in various environments. Students must attend 30 hours of in class instruction and participate in various classroom activities. Students must bring a copy of their Birth Certificate or Learner's Permit when registering or on the first day of class. A parent, guardian, or mentor is encouraged to attend the first 90 minutes of the first class for an orientation session. The orientation is a mandatory requirement of the MVA.
